DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position is responsible for managing the Minerals Division activities which includes statewide geologic, conservation, natural resource development or environmental protection program for oil, gas, gas storage, hard minerals, coal extraction, water and contamination issues on state forest and state park lands across the state. This position plans, develops, implements and evaluates the division's programs. This position is responsible for providing expertise on geologic and natural resources issues within the bureau, department and outside entities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Geoscience Supervisor (commonwealth title); or Four years of professional geology experience including one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, geoscience, geophysics, geochemistry, engineering geology, or a closely related field that includes 30 college credits in geologic coursework; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of experience in professional supervisory geologic work. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of an active PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. How to Apply:
