DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Executive Secretary 2, you will present as the first point of contact for internal and external communications with the agency secretary's executive office, in addition to managing workflow to ensure key items are brought to the attention of the appropriate personnel and that deadlines are consistently met.  Specific duties include maintaining the agency secretary's calendar and schedule and informing the secretary regarding high level issues as communicated by various board entities, executive colleagues, and external parties.  You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an office filing system and generating reports, plans, presentations, and executive correspondence.

You will provide board support by composing memorandums, letters, and other correspondence, including confidential items, as well as managing a variety of board and committee meeting logistics.  This position also serves as the Travel Coordinator and Corporate Card Coordinator for the office and provides assistance to other program areas as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week upon successful completion of the training period.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of progressively responsible experience in secretarial work. Appropriate formal post high school secretarial training may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to four years; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
