DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An Education Administration Specialist develops and interprets office policies and makes recommendations relating to the licensure of private academic schools. Responsibilities will include formulating language for revisions to regulations and analyzing and recommending revisions. You will have the opportunity to advise school administrators/directors/owners by providing guidance and leadership in the planning and development of starting a school, school operations, and changes to the operation of a licensed school. Interpretation of state laws and regulations will be essential. Duties will include planning and coordinating site visits to schools and meeting with school administrators for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating school operations. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time with Wednesday as an in office day. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as an Education Administration Associate; or Four years of professional experience in education including at least two years in educational administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
