Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Economic Development Analyst 1 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

If so, the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) is currently seeking an Economic Development Analyst 1 to provide comprehensive support for the administration of the Commonwealth Financing Authority and DCED programs in the Site Development Division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the Economic Development Analyst 1, your responsibilities include assessing program applications, providing initial approval/disapproval recommendations, and evaluating grant and loan funding combinations for projects. You will also be involved in requesting additional information from applicants, offering technical support to customers, and overseeing the distribution of contract documents, payment request forms, and project audits for compliance. In addition, you will handle inquiries from applicants, maintain a list of ongoing projects for regular review, and propose updates to program guidelines and materials. Coordinating loan disbursements, suggesting program and process enhancements, and participating in site tours and meetings to discuss funding options for projects are also part of your role. Furthermore, you will engage in public speaking about Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) programs for various groups, create reports on achievements for internal and external clients, and manage program databases using ACCESS. Lastly, you will be responsible for drafting correspondence for the Secretary and Executive Director, ensuring accuracy before sending.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Additional Requirements: You must have experience in reviewing and analyzing corporate financials. You must have completed coursework related to reviewing and analyzing corporate financials. You must have experience working in a telework environment. You must be able to demonstrate analytical skills. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience with loan underwriting or loan collections. How to Apply:
