DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will tackle strategic goals and program objectives to promote interagency and interstate cooperation of shared water and coastal resource issues as well as provide technical assistance to local governments and state agencies in conserving coastal uses and resources. Work involves analyzing data to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and conduct presentations to achieve project goals and promote the Department's mission.

The primary responsibility for this position is administering and managing special federal funding opportunities through the National Ocean Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), EPA, or other federal agencies or programs. With our team, you will manage and coordinate technical and policy aspects of the CZMA. This includes reviewing contracts and inter-agency agreements; developing and updating grant application instruction guides and grant administration guides; evaluating proposals and providing comments; conducting workshops and trainings; preparing and submitting semi-annual performance reports to NOAA and other funding agencies; and defining criteria to meet Federal and state water regulations, resource priorities, and Commonwealth strategies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of professional environmental protection experience; and a bachelor's degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of professional environmental protection experience.

Condition of Employment: You must possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
