The Role

As a Content Product Manager within Proofpoint, you are the owner of the product portfolio you manage and the person responsible for driving the success of your product through development, market positioning, and customer evangelization. In this role you will draw upon your deep cybersecurity knowledge to help guide and create compelling and accurate content. You must love to communicate, collaborate, and have a passion for making complex issues easy to understand. You’ll join a team of security awareness content creators and help support them by building out our people-centric security training framework. This role is primarily responsible for defining and enabling the creation of engaging and accurate security awareness and training offerings that differentiate Proofpoint in the market.

Key skills:

  • Self-driven and results-oriented, bringing security and threat landscape knowledge together with best practices in adult training and awareness.

  • Possess a strong data-driven mindset that will help to ensure that appropriate decisions are made when trade-offs are required.

  • Harnesses strong business acumen to ensure that content strategy matches with both current and future customer needs.

  • Great presentation skills and is comfortable presenting ideas and strategy to a variety of audiences.

  • Strong research skills with experience synthesizing findings and complex subjects into easy to understand communication points.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and track progress on product initiatives.

Your day-to-day

  • Focus on defining & executing the content roadmap for Proofpoint Security Awareness Training product

  • Work directly with key Proofpoint customers and internal stakeholders to develop, prioritize & refine content requirements

  • Represent the content roadmap both internally and with customers

  • You will keep a finger on the pulse of the threats, risk and compliance needs of enterprise security teams as they related to development topics and use that knowledge to help create training products such as learning modules, videos, and more

  • Evaluate market and competitors - working with marketing and field sales to refine content strategy

  • Provide clarity and implementation guidance of roadmap to the content platform team

  • Work with sales to understand and internalize customer feedback & objections to content

  • Work with customer support and psat, ensuring that the content roadmap is communicated, and their needs are addressed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust well-being program that provides for 4 global wellbeing days per year, and a 3-week work from anywhere option.

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 116,690.00 - 183,370.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 96,880.00 - 152,240.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 87,220.00 - 137,060.00 USD
