The Department of General Services has an immediate need for a Construction Project Administrator 1. If you have the skills and experience needed for this position, we invite you to apply.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role you will be responsible for the coordination and management of construction/renovation projects and energy related projects for facilities located in Harrisburg and across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with contractors and applicable commonwealth personnel to identify, develop, conduct, implement and monitor standard work for all delegated-related work on each project. Responsibilities will include managing multiple large scale, multi-year construction and infrastructure improvement projects, performing regular on-site project inspections, monitoring project progress, and ensuring projects are in conformance with plans, specifications, policies and procedures. Communication will be key as you will prepare written reports concerning Project Schedules, Change Orders, Extension of Time, project delays, and Contractor Disputes and Claims.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Essential Employee - Required to work during emergencies and office closings. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; or Two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; and a bachelor's degree in construction technology, architecture, building science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, building automation systems, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities.

Special Requirements: This position will require possession of a valid driver's license.
