Position Overview: Assist lighting and power distribution specialists in customer service functions, including order entry, expediting orders, product research, vendor pricing and assembling of submittals upon requests by the various specialists. Setup and project manage all aspects of DTS and Staging and Storage projects. Essential Functions: Place direct sales orders with Lighting and Gear Vendors. Check stock and availability through Eclipse. Check factory stock and price of items through various vendor websites. Prepare specification sheets for catalog cuts for customer quotes. Enter Stage and Storage orders. Create project tracking sheets for jobs assigned to project manage if job not in JM DTS For JM-DTS Projects, update ship status reports on regular basis. Expedite and update purchase orders, ship status reports or project tracking sheets. Communicate at predetermined cadence with customer, updated ship status reports or project tracking sheets. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Attend all required internal SYD training and meetings. Competencies: Strong Data Entry Skills Basic Computer Skills Ability to multi-task efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to keep customer satisfaction number one priority. Work Environment: This position is in office with the capabilities to work hybrid after training. Mental Demands: Establish solid working relationships with individuals at Vendors, and Customers. Check and respond to e-mails, voice mail and Eclipse messages continually throughout the day. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. High degree of attention to detail Work within a team environment. Adhere to and support SYD values, Integrity, Profitability, Accountability, and Teamwork Physical Demands: The ability sit for prolonged periods of time Required to sit 95% of the work day and walk 5% of the work day. Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Travel: Traveling is limited but required to attend trainings and visit a customer job site when needed. Clearances and Certifications: U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required. Education and Experience: High school diploma and at least two years' experience in construction industry or electrical distribution is preferred.
