DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Civil Engineer Trainee with the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation, you will perform entry-level engineering work to design abandoned mine land reclamation projects. Work includes assisting with the preparation of project design computations, details, cost estimates, and drawings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of civil engineering experience, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or in a closely related field, which includes or was supplemented by major course work in civil engineering; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Conditions of Employment: This position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.Other Requirements:
