The Bureau of Audits/Liquor Control Board Operations is seeking an Auditor 1 to join our team of professionals. This position gives you the opportunity to perform auditing, consulting, and advisory professional journey-level work activities to assist Internal Audit in achieving its mission and service to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Auditor 1, you will have the ability to work independently, and as a contributing member of a team, completing assigned duties of limited scope, and communicating with the audit supervisor or auditor-in-charge. You will develop a working knowledge of PLCB functions, auditing, and office techniques, have the opportunity to travel to assigned site locations to interview staff and obtain evidence, as well as participate in interviews of PLCB staff to elicit factual information relevant to the assignment. You will be required to have an extensive working knowledge of software such as MS Excel and MS Access to gather, interpret, compile, and analyze data pertinent to assignments. Work includes performing fieldwork audit activities such as testing transactions, performing inventories, visually examining records and documentation, observing events to ensure that PLCB policy, designed internal controls, and laws and regulations are adhered to, and preparing and organizing the required audit documentation necessary to support the conclusions reached and the recommendations made.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available upon completion of probationary period. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week. You will be required to report to your assigned liquor store at a minimum of 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. Although this position is home based, field travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee; or Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
