DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve as a staff auditor and, at times, the Auditor-In-Charge (AIC). You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data, as well as reviewing documents and records, including relevant laws, regulations, and policies. You will be responsible for documenting activities performed with appropriate work-papers and analytical tools. You will perform audits, reviews, or technical assistant work involving government operated or funded programs, and special reviews of suspected fraud and abuse.

In addition, you will prepare audit reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). The ideal candidate for this position should have a working knowledge of GAGAS. This position offers an opportunity to showcase your excellent communication skills both orally and in writing as you will provide verbal presentations of report contents to auditee management, as well as write comprehensive reports, memos, and letters. In this position, you must have the ability to travel.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position is home headquartered. Travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Audit Specialist 1; or Two years of professional auditing experience and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by eighteen [18] credits in accounting and auditing; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which included the required eighteen [18] credits in accounting and auditing.
