This role is crucial as it involves collaborating closely with both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the regional air quality programs within the DEP. Additional responsibilities and competencies required include the following: The assurance of data integrity, thorough analysis, detailed reporting, interpretation, compliance monitoring, and providing guidance for quarterly reporting and the enforcement of Continuous Source Monitoring Systems (CSMS) related to air pollution sources. A meticulous audit of each CSMS Quarterly Report is performed to verify its completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policies prior to its publication on the DEP website for public access. In addition, ad hoc data analyses are conducted as necessary to address specific data requests, while routine analyses are systematically developed and updated for quarterly online posting and internal data comparisons, which support evaluations of policies and procedures. Furthermore, the operation and maintenance of the PACT System require a detailed record of penalties and violations noted in the CSMS Quarterly Report Summaries, along with effective communication with Region AQ Programs and other Bureau staff to ensure timely resolution of these issues. Lastly, the role includes providing expert guidance and interpretation regarding Continuous Source Monitoring Systems (CSMS).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week once approved by management. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as an Air Quality Specialist; or One year of experience as an Air Monitoring Program Supervisor; or Three years of professional work in the control and abatement of air pollution and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or an environmental field closely related to Air Quality Management; or An equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. How to Apply:
