DESCRIPTION OF WORK This Administrative Officer 3 position has statewide responsibility for the identification and selection of potential federal funding sources for partnerships, projects, and other opportunities that seek to ensure vibrant life and robust possibilities on and around Pennsylvania's waterways. This involves the decision making and presentation process with senior management on which funds are applied for by the Commission to support these goals. You will be independently performing a variety of assignments related to managing, evaluating, and reporting on the Commission's various state and federal funded grant programs.

This administrative management position is responsible for overseeing existing grant programs as well as the identification, development, implementation, record keeping, and accounting of new grant programs. You will have the opportunity to serve as project leader, negotiate terms, and be accountable for developing and managing processes to ensure that the Commission is in compliance with grant program rules and regulations to keep our waterways funded, accessible, and enjoyable for all.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Your supervisor will work with you on a telework agreement and schedule. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Administrative Officer 2; or Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
