DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administration and Management Trainee, you will participate in a 12-month structured training program designed to develop administrative and technical competence while giving you an understanding of state government organizations and operations.  You will work closely with higher-level human resource professionals to grow your knowledge base and expand your skills to prepare you for promotion to higher-level human resource positions.  Upon successful completion of this training program, you will be promoted to a permanent Human Resource Analyst.  We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
