Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator role at the Hanover location reports to the Packing Room Supervisor and takes day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Ensuring that production standards are met by operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include: box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.

• Determining upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Using this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for the next order.

• Maintaining specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.

• Ensuring product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.

• Performing other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents

• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus

• The ability to work overtime and weekends

Shifts

• 7a-7pm Sun,Mon,Tues and every other Wednesday-$23.92/hr

• 7am-7pm Thurs, Fri, Sat and every other Wednesday-$23.92/hr

• 7pm-7am Sun, Mon, Tues and every other Saturday-$24.92/hr

• 7pm-7am Wed, Thurs, Fri and every other Saturday-$24.92/hr

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Food manufacturing with semi-climate controlled environment. Can be hot around oven area. Must be comfortable working in a loud environment and wear steel-toed boots.
