Description

We are seeking a User Experience Designer II to join our team located in Hanover, Maryland. As a User Experience Designer II, you will play a vital role in creating compelling human-centered experiences across digital and physical touchpoints. This job function is part of the Information Architecture industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team of UX designers, product managers, and engineers to build and support employee-facing experiences

• Create appropriate UX Design deliverables to support the work effort of teams and ensure standard design practices are utilized

• Participate in defining and facilitating discovery efforts

• Responsible for the communication of design intent, delivery of solutions, and advocating for the continuous improvement of experiences for our users

• Participate in the presentation of high-level solutions and strategies to stakeholders and can drive and negotiate consensus trade-offs effectively

• Leverage customer research, site metrics, and usability findings to back up assertions, make recommendations, and drive strategy

• Foster and participate in a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement

• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to build and support employee-facing experiences

• Have intermediate knowledge of Experience Design principles, activities, deliverables, and tools e.g. collaboration sessions, designs, wireframes, prototypes, Figma, Miro, Jira, Sketch etc

• Have strong skills in mobile design building within frameworks and design systems

• Strong UI skills and familiarity with Figma and Miro
