The Opportunity:

Intelligence Operations SME with MAJCOM and HAF experience. Capable of drafting senior level communications and strategic themes involving the ACC related programs, navigating programmatic pathways through austere budgetary landscapes to further division objectives. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) / DAF Battle Network initiatives, Long Range Kill Chain (LRKC), and Project Nexus (integration of AOC, AF DCGS, and Targeting enterprises, networks, operations, and capabilities).

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to National and Service-level policy and guidance (NDS, NMS, etc.) and emerging concepts and capabilities (C-JADC2, ABMS, Joint Warfighting Concept, AFFOC and SECAF OI initiatives), in support of operational and programmatic priorities.

  • Support Program Element Management (PEM) Meetings – telecon meetings focused on getting the status of Program funding and developing funding strategies (if necessary).

  • Assess and review courses of action for future intelligence capabilities, and mission alignment (to include AF DCGS/NEXUS/LRKC operations) supporting future Command and Control (C2), Battle Management (BM), Target Engagement Authority (TEA), and ISR-T data flows, systems, and operations.

  • Analyze and support Government personnel regarding the integration of new technology, design concepts, and systems to improve data sharing and interoperability across C2, ISR, Targeting (C2ISR-T) communities, and joint/coalition partners.

  • Assess automation, augmentation, and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AAA) capabilities supporting future integrated kill-chains.

  • Assess and review solutions and courses of action to current AF DCGS/Nexus enterprise capabilities process that meet Government requirements, are integrated with other “family of systems,” and can be modified for future capabilities.

  • Identify current processes, data flows, disparate program efforts, and issues hindering AFFOC/ABMS/Nexus/LRKC implementation. This includes the integration of DoD/Service/MAJCOM-level transformation efforts to enhance targeting and kill-chain efficiencies.

  • Participate in working groups, information exchanges, design reviews, and integration teams.

  • Build products based on Division leadership requirements and ACC senior leader requests for information, including, but not limited to briefings, strategic roadmaps, exercise plans, and operational concepts.

  • Provide executive-level advice in support of intelligence and operational capabilities/workflows for future operations. Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Assess and document kill-chain capabilities to scale to future AF capabilities and operations.

  • Target Custody/Engagement process map to identify organizational responsibilities and capabilities across all C2ISR-T operational entities within the kill-chain (strategic, operational, and tactical).

  • Analyze and review Government directed changes to future force structures, operations, and training to modernize, accelerate, and integrate C2ISR-T operations, exercises, readiness events, plans, and activities.

  • Support ACC and other AF, Joint, DoD, and IC organizations to plan, develop, and execute operations as a part of ABMS, Nexus, AF DCGS, Targeting, C2 and other future capabilities and concepts.

  • Liaise with lead AF and Joint (Service and CCMD) organizations to facilitate capability and TTP/workflow discussions.

  • Support to government representatives with Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for AF/DoD, exercises, technical exchanges, working groups, demonstrations, pilots, and similar events ISO LRKC, Nexus, and future operating concepts.

  • Support government representatives with strategic, operational, and tactical planning/strategy/implementation plans, plan of action and milestones (POA&M), CONOPS/CONEMPS, and other project-related staff objectives.

  • Assist Government representatives with review of strategic plans, program defense narratives, and Senior Leader/Executive correspondence that supports operational and programmatic priorities.

  • As required: Briefings, Background/White Papers, policy recommendations, event assessments, and other staff products for General Officer/Senior Executive Service-level audiences.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BS degree plus 10 years related experience (or equivalent operational experience).

  • Expertise across AF ISR operations (ETP, AF DCGS, AOC) highly desired.

  • MAJCOM or above Air Force staff experience highly desired.

  • Have extensive background in the applicable programs to include programming, budgeting, operations, and systems.

  • Possess the ability to assist in strategic direction and future concept planning.

  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact with senior-level leadership.

  • Must have the ability to retain TS/SCI clearance and be Special Access Program (SAP) eligible. All required computer and security training will be accomplished prior to accessing systems/programs.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$86,800-$191,000
