Position Specific Description
Usource is a leading energy consulting firm that specializes in helping organizations manage and reduce their energy costs. We provide comprehensive energy management services, including strategic energy procurement, sustainability planning, and risk management solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique energy needs.
As an Account Manager at Usource, you will oversee a pre-existing portfolio of clients, ensuring client satisfaction and managing multiple accounts concurrently. This role will require you to conduct complex operational analyses, lead medium to large project teams, and perform comprehensive account management duties. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and coordinating internal resources to meet client goals. This position focuses on maintaining and growing relationships within an established book of business.
This role combines the analytical and research skills of a Business Analyst with the relationship-building and strategic planning responsibilities pivotal to effective account management. It fosters a deep understanding of client operations and aims to drive successful client outcomes through strategic guidance and operational excellence, all within a predefined portfolio of clients.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters with assigned book of business.
• Process routine daily business for key accounts, including gas and electric renewals, in close coordination with commodity suppliers.
• Cultivate strong, long-lasting client and supplier relationships.
• Conduct analyses and prepare reports providing operational and/or technical support to business operations.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support medium to large special projects.
• Assist with process design and modification for continuous business improvement.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
• Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
• Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
• Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
• Prepare reports on account status.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and grow service opportunities within the assigned book of business.
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Overview
This position is the primary point of contact for assigned clients and drives revenue by promoting and growing the use of company products and services. The position helps clients resolve issues and participates in the joint development of marketing and sales strategies. The position will have specific renewal sales and account management targets to achieve annually.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Primary contact for assigned customers and manages the client relationship
Responsible for renewing assigned customers
Responsible for expanding the revenue from clients through cross-sell of products and services and expansions of energy accounts
Responsible for renewal goals and cross-selling revenue goals expected to achieve each year
Routinely monitor client bills and resolve billing issues and optimize tariff rates
Maintain all client information in Salesforce and database
Work with clients to understand energy and decarbonization needs, goals, nature of business, risk tolerance, etc. and identify product solutions
Monitor markets and present pricing and contract offers from suppliers
Manage execution and implementation of new provider agreements
Create and maintain all charts and graphs used in market reporting
Other duties as assigned
