We are seeking maintenance employees to join our Fleet & Facilities Team in Hampden. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the corporate Hampden Office and other company owned buildings/sites to a clean and orderly condition and in a state of good repair by performing general maintenance tasks and basic repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reacts quickly to verbal instructions by creating a plan to complete work orders/requests and exercises a common-sense approach to tasks.
- Determines if work can be performed directly or if contractor must be obtained.
- Obtains stick readings and meter readings as required for Hampden Card lock.
- Maintains gas islands both in appearance and function.
- Maintains environmental logs for all office locations.
- Performs basic carpentry work at corporate office and offsite locations.
- Maintains pump equipment at offsite locations.
- Performs and maintains general upkeep of offsite locations to includepainting, lot maintenance, maintaining organizational standard at storage locations.
- Maintains warehouse appearance and organization.
- Delivers goods and supplies to various locations in Maine.
- Interacts with various business leaders to meet demands and expectations of standards at offsite locations.
- During winter season, keeps Hampden office entrances clear from snow/ice build-up.
- Visually inspects fire extinguishers in the Hampden office on a monthly basis.
- Cleans and refills the Hampden Office eyewash station located in break room every six months.
- Assembles desks and other office furniture as needed.
- Assists with office personnel moves/relocations within building.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of company owned buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
