Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical power supply wiring and conduit for various equipment. This includes robots, welders, motor control centers, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, presses, hydraulic components, and kilns. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning electrical apparatus, programming and diagnosing PLCs, and ensuring all safety policies are followed.

Responsibilities

• Install main electrical power supply wiring and conduit for equipment.

• Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.

• Diagnose and replace malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, PLCs, and lighting fixtures.

• Calculate proper fuse/circuit breaker configuration when necessary.

• Use PCs and other interface equipment to program and diagnose PLCs and electronic equipment controls.

• Replace faulty hydraulic and pneumatic electrical components of machines.

• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.

• Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss issues with other maintenance workers.

• Ensure all safety policies are followed at all times, including Life Critical Safety Rules.

• Regularly inspect and evaluate electrical and electronic equipment for efficiency and safety.

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain records of equipment status and maintenance.

• Study blueprints and schematics to determine the best method of repair or replacement.

• Identify and determine material/electrical requirements with part numbers and equipment needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $84406.40 - $84406.40/yr.
