Summary Quality technicians are responsible for gathering data during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This role focuses on various procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Depending on the product process, technicians may be required to conduct quick sensory checks or perform thorough, extensive analyses. The role may also include examining products to find defects. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Have working knowledge of manufacturing process. Read and understand blueprints, tape measures, and gauges. Operate a mass flow tester. Record and analyze results of tests to certify or reject products.. Ensure work area is clean and free of safety hazards. Keep quality leadership advised of problems and progress as related to work assignments. Perform additional duties as requested by supervision. Competencies Mechanically Inclined. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Time Management. Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions Working knowledge of hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic powered tools Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
