Position Summary:
The Quality Manager will deliver measurable and sustainable results by leading the quality department and collaborate with improvement initiatives that support our key objectives.

Essential Functions:

Lead quality expectations process throughout the business through "hands-on" support leading and creating SOP's to achieve GFSI certification for Flexible Packaging
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and QMS as we align across multiple facilities
Ensure customer quality standards are clear, documented and color standards created, sent to customers as required and archive managed
Manages QA staff to effectively increase the quality of our products
Collaborates on the transfer of work from facilities
Issue RMA's, coordinate investigations and respond with corrective and preventive actions CAPA for any customer complaints
Facilitates root cause analysis of both internal and external issues
Issues and gets approvals for quality related credits
Coach and champion functions to identify and implement opportunities to improve program and process effectiveness
Monitor progress of key initiatives to check if changes yield desirable results. Establish measurable standards at the start of a project and then compare actual project results against these, regularly generating detailed update reports to key stake holders
Act as a technical expert, coach and train cross functional team members in the problem solving and risk mitigation
Deploy the appropriate Quality / Delivery / Cost metrics and management routines at all levels of the organization
Collaborate with Quality Managers from other locations on companywide projects
Create value stream and/or process maps to help standardize process and workflow where necessary

Knowledge and expertise in business analysis, process improvement tools, and project management
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in manufacturing, engineering, quality management
Minimum of 5 years quality and / or process improvement experience preferred
Food industry quality experience
ISO 22000 or SQF experienced required
Experience professionally working with customers
Internal auditing and represent company for external customer audit
Vision System Experience preferred
ASQ certification or Six Sigma training is preferred
