Modern Machining Brake Press Operator in Hamilton, Ohio

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Form parts utilizing CNC Press Brake equipment, assuring quality and productivity
  • Using inspection devices to inspect parts according to print and product inspection plan.  Spot-check quality of work by periodically, and visual inspection
  • Measures work, using rule, gauges, calipers and templates
  • Will be trained to learn set-up procedures on simple to moderately complex parts
  • Determine correct tooling to form parts to specifications based on material type, thickness, bend radius, and part geometry.
  • Generate programs at machine controller on simple to moderately complex parts.
  • Know and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
  • Responsible in reading and interrupting blueprints
  • Making small, mathematically calculated angle and dimensional corrections
  • Orienting the part correctly according to projected view on blueprint
  • Follow all safety rules and remain safety conscious at all times by understanding safety requirements in every area, and complying. Provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Following Press Brake process standard operating procedures
  • Process improvement ideas are always welcomed
  • Accurately entering quantities of production pieces and inspection results into the computer
  • Machine Operator Preventative Maintenance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly, stand for the entire shift, bend, squat, twist and turn.

Experience:

1. 1. 3 or more years of experience as Brake Press Operator required 2. Ability to read router packets, understand and follow all instructions given 3. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blue prints and shop drawings 4. Advanced knowledge of brake press operations is a plus 5. Familiarity with the use dial calipers, square and various measuring equipment 6. Basic math knowledge :::
