Mass Park, Inc CDL Shuttle Driver FT or PT in Hamden, Connecticut

DRIVER- Shuttle Drivers needed to drive in Hamden, CT at Quinnipiac University. This is a local route, transporting college students and faculty members.

We are currently on summer break but are accepting applications to join our team for next year. We expect to resume services around 8/15. If you are a school bus driver looking for a change, consider taking the summer off, and coming to work for us in the Fall!

We are providing shuttle services for Quinnipiac University and operate 7 days per week when school is in session. This posting is for either FT or PT evening drivers, with weekends also required.

CDL drivers start at $21.00/hour.

The vehicles are late model walk-on 25-passenger shuttles with wheelchair lifts that are cleaned and maintained regularly.

Full-time help is eligible for Health/Dental insurance available after 90 days (50/50 split) and paid vacation after one year. Room for advancement!

Must be over 20, customer service experience is a must! A valid CDL with a passenger endorsement is required. A valid medical card is also required. Background checks, drug screen, SORI checks, and driving tests will be conducted.

Shuttle Driver-Job Description

The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited tothe following:

  • Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
  • Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
  • Opening and closing doors for patrons
  • Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
  • Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
  • Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
  • Recording passenger counts and trip times
  • Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
  • Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
  • Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
  • Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
  • Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
  • Operate wheelchair lift as needed, and secure chairs with tie-downs as needed
