Quinnipiac University Administrative Assistant, Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical Sciences in Hamden, Connecticut
Overview: Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position will perform secretarial, staff assistance, and clerical duties required to support the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical Sciences.

Responsibilities:
Maintain phone coverage, greet visitors and students, take messages, relay information and answer questions within scope of knowledge and authority.
Perform data entry into a wide variety of computer software applications, databases and programs, including Microsoft Office 365, Colleague, Stellic, Informer, Chrome River, and other university, school, and/or department specific software. Prepare correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, grants, forms, examinations and memos. Edit work for accuracy, format, spelling, punctuation and construction. Assure timely completion of all material.
Compose routine correspondence upon supervisor’s (Dept. Chairs) direction.
Organize and maintain an E-filing (and paper when applicable) system for all programs, faculty and internal student records assuring rapid retrieval of all materials.
Prepare various reports including gathering data and setting up format.
Review and route incoming mail/email for appropriate distribution and action.
Process purchase requisitions and requests for payment. Assist in monitoring department budgets and expenditures.
Arrange conferences and meetings as required, notify participants, and arrange for all materials, food, facilities, travel arrangements and support functions.
Other clerical duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Qualifications:
Administrative Assistant experience including Microsoft Office experience.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency in data entry.
Ability to learn a variety of software applications.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The hourly rate is $24.83
The work week is 35 hours per week
