Job Title: Tool & Die Technician

Location: Fort Worth, Texas Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (with potential daily and weekend overtime)

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision? We're looking for a Tool & Die Technician to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas, and help produce top-quality corrugated products. You'll play a crucial role in supporting machine operations, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining tool and die equipment.

Position Summary: In this role, you will support machine operators, handle die organization, perform minor die repairs, and communicate any issues that may affect production. Your work will be key to ensuring equipment runs efficiently, while maintaining a safe and clean environment. You'll also manage tool inventory and use forklifts and pallet jacks to move inventory when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with setup and order preparation to meet customer specifications.

  • Operate equipment like saws and knives for in-house die repairs.

  • Manage die inventory, identify issues, and communicate with supervisors.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

  • Use forklifts and pallet jacks to move and manage tooling inventory.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent or 1+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

  • Ability to basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Experience following detailed work instructions.

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using a tape measure to within 1/16” accuracy.

  • Basic computer skills (typing, data entry).

  • Experience in the corrugated industry.

  • Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen)

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support machine operation by assisting with the setup of orders according to customer specifications, following order readiness process of efficiently preparing the right tools to complete the job.

  • Assist machine crews by operating equipment such as saws and knives to preform minor die repairs in house, assist in managing die inventory sent out for repair, identify issues, and communicate accordingly.

  • Proactively communicate issues with equipment to appropriate leaders, and assist with trouble shooting, and problem solving to maximize overall equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.

  • Assist in managing tooling inventory and organization, along with purging inventory when needed. Utilize mobile equipment such as Forklift and Pallet Jacks to move inventory.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by following post order cleaning process.

  • Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for the machine center.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
