We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tool and Die Technician! The Tool and Die Technician will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and repairing tools, dies, and molds used in the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of precision machining, metalworking, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex tooling systems to ensure smooth production operations.

salary: $54,000 - $72,000 per year

shift: Second

work hours: 2 PM - 2 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, repair, and maintain dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to produce tooling components.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventive maintenance on dies and tools to minimize production downtime.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve tooling issues and ensure accurate production of parts.

  • Conduct regular inspections of tools and dies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.

  • Modify existing tools and dies as necessary to meet production needs or improve efficiency.

  • Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are followed when operating equipment.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for tooling changes, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

The essential functions of this role include:
