About you and this role- What you will do in this role
This position leads hub or site environmental compliance for example, environmental, waste, and water. Maintains the license to operate for the site or hub. Requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.
Responsibilities- Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
Leads implementation of global EH&S management systems.
Leads EH&S performance improvement of assigned plant(s), site, hub, and business.
Coordinates, implements, and optimizes EH&S programs and compliance programs across site/hub.
Participates in incident investigations and the corrective action process for EH&S issues and opportunities.
Performs central review of all EH&S related documents and submittals to ensure consistency and compliance goals are met.
Performs Requirements Management Work Process (RWMP) roles as needed.
Initiates and supports management of change (MOC) for EH&S programs and compliance matters, as necessary.
Acts as Agency Visit protocol owner and implementer.
Acts as subject matter expert for waste profiling and disposal, SPCC, SWPPP as well as applicable Solid Waste and Water regulations.
Coaches, trains, and mentors EH&S Specialists and technicians.
Performs site or plant gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation.
Develops, reviews, monitors, creates and deliver training as appropriate.
Interprets and applies waste and water environmental regulations and owns procedural and protocol documents for the implementation of regulations to the Site.
Interfaces with regulatory authorities for inspections, inquiries, audits and permit negotiations.
Performs data collection and reporting for environmental compliance data.
Manages permits including submittal of permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, and submittal of permit renewal applications, including levee board and USACE permits.
As part of a team, develop permit applications for Solid Waste Permits, RCRA Waste Permits and Waste LPDES Water Permits.
Serves as site liaison for Regional Remediation Leader.
Qualifications- Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank of Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.
A minimum of 6 years of EH&S, waste and water management or related experience.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
