Intermountain Health Medical Staff Privileging Coordinator in Hagatna, Guam
Job Description:
Provides ongoing support and coordination; being a liaison between the Medical Staff, Medical Directors, and Administration. The position directs the on-going credentialing / privileging process and other administrative functions for the Medical Staff, Medical Director, Administration, and Allied Health Professionals.
Shift: Monday-Friday. No Holidays or weekends. Normal Business Hours . Fully Remote.
Scope
As a Medical Staff Coordinator, you need to know how to:
Coordinate application/reapplication process, respond to requests for initial application and verify that the professional category is eligible for privileges
Participate in the communication between the CVO and the care site- Maintain the credentialing database with accurate and timely data-
Request written verification of applicant's education, experience, professional references, current and past licenses, insurance and professional liability claims history directly with the source for all applications for initial.-
Assist medical staff leadership in the selection process for medical staff leadership- Orient medical staff leadership to key policies related to their roles
Assist medical staff leadership in the development of bylaws and related policies
Ensure room, food and notices for medical staff meetings and communications.
Maintain, post and distribute a medical staff newsletter and calendar
Maintain documentation of continuing medical staff education
Originate and maintain agendas, minutes and post-meeting correspondence for all medical staff committees
Prepare credentialing reports and action items for the Board- Compose and disseminate correspondence from the Board to the medical staff insofar as decisions related to credentialing, privileges and special requests-
Orient applicants to the medical staff bylaws, key policies, medical staff structure, and performance improvement process- Assist with the development of annual goals and objectives for the Medical Staff Office in concert with the organizations strategic plan-
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget for the department- Responsible for incorporating requirements into medical staff activities to comply with accreditation and regulatory standards
Maintain provider file security to insure confidentiality and peer protection of documents
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent-
Minimum of two (2) years experience as a medical staff coordinator, medical staff credentials specialist or administrative assistant-
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) within four (4) years of employment
Physical Requirements:
Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$21.20 - $32.26
