Position Overview:

Responsible for overall sales and relationship management with property owners, developers and HOAs in MDU and private residential communities, whether on a bulk- or non-bulk contracted basis. Responsible for service penetration and revenue goals in Residential Communities. This position is focused on the development and implementation of a strategic plan to guide the Company to successfully attain revenue goals.

    Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish overall goals and objectives for the Company and individual regions, in collaboration with the Vice President, Commercial Sales, in support of the company vision; Develop and implement tactical plans to achieve established goals and objectives.

  • Develop and cultivate effective business relationships with residential community owners and managers to ensure Mediacom Business is the provider of choice to their residents.

  • Negotiate favorable terms for bulk and non-bulk service agreements for Residential Communities establishing Mediacom Business as the provider of choice.

  • Review areas for improvement and correction.

  • Conduct regular individual and group meetings with assigned staff to communicate and provide feedback on sales/performance results, reinforce expectations, and address questions and concerns.

  • Conduct timely performance evaluations of direct reports.

  • Develop, implement and monitor corrective action and development plans as needed.

  • Provide management with timely reporting as required and requested.

  • Analyze sales reports for results and identify sales trends; Utilize information to implement changes to increase profitable sales.

  • Manage the planning, forecasting and budget process for Residential Communities; Develop and monitor sales plans, budgets, and expense controls.

  • Communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including Residential Marketing and Corporate Legal specifically, in order to deliver expected results.

    Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Required - 7 Years sales management experience.

  • Preferred – 10 years sales management experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience with multi-region and P&L responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to present with a level of expertise, credibility, and genuineness in order to lead a team and execute strategic initiatives with current and prospective clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and plan for the direction of the department and participate in the growth of the company.

  • Demonstrated ability to tolerate stress and handle multiple changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and ability to work independently as needed.

  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 50%) including overnight to other locations as necessary.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products.
