As a Team Leader, you will hold a very important role in the Kings Mountain Operations (KMO) facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small production team that utilizes equipment to consistently produce a quality product in an efficient manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Able to direct work assignments within a Team.

• Perform production assignments in designated areas of responsibility which may include assembler, painter, metal finish, repair of damaged parts, material handling, etc.

• Liaison between Supervisor and Manufacturing Team.

• Achieve hourly production targets as defined by Supervisor and take necessary actions to achieve these targets.

• Utilize established problem-solving techniques.

• Setting up assigned area prior to production startup with all necessary tools, equipment, and materials.

• Proper handling of Hazardous Waste generated by plant.

• Uphold and maintain team-oriented environment with quality goals.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

• Maintain a clean work area.

• Operate forklift for Material Handling.

• Initiate or be involved in the weekly Product Audits.

• Identify causes of downtime and take effective corrective action as necessary to resolve the cause.

• Ensure team members are properly trained in tasks assigned.

• Audit and approve all production records submitted by Team Members.

• Administer existing plant safety policies; identify known safety violations for timely correction, thereby maintaining safe employee working conditions.

• Monitor and control usage of perishable production supplies and equipment.

• Process monitoring as required.

• Conduct Team Member evaluations and touchpoints

• Maintain confidentiality and conduct yourself with integrity and honest.

• Expected to maintain “perfect “attendance

Education, Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma and/or GED with basic math skills and reading comprehension

• Strong understanding of industrial safety practices

• History of a process-oriented, flexible approach. Consistently delivering results on schedule in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes and principles is required

• Willing to develop an excellent working climate and atmosphere in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct
