Description Role Snapshot Our Senior SQL Server Database Administrator works on a dynamic team that installs, maintains, and safeguards Database Management System (DBMS) software and databases for WPS individuals and applications. WPS is working on the cutting edge of Microsoft SQL Server, utilizing new versions, tools, and techniques in our environment (currently on Microsoft SQL Server 2019 & 2022). Our Database Administrator (DBA) assists with database performance and tuning duties and participate on project teams in an agile environment. After-hours production support activities are required for this role. Salary Range $95,000 $120,000 The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Want to take a leadership role on moderately complex projects independently or as part of a larger project team. Can handle multiple competing initiatives and escalate issues effectively. Minimum Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions. 3 or more years of related work experience as a Database Administrator. Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications 5 plus years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server troubleshooting techniques and features. Working competency in the Windows Operating System. Strong Microsoft SQL Server database configuration and management of instances and databases. Experience with MySQL is a plus. Experience with database and diagnostic monitoring tools.
