Mclaughlin Research Corp OPERATIONS ANALYST III - RC2 in Groton, Connecticut

The Operations Analyst III position will apply engineering and scientific theories to complex systems in support of the organizations program efforts at the Naval Submarine Base New London. The qualified candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support in the development of tactical guidance and reference manuals for current and future Heavyweight Torpedoes (HWT) including Advanced Processor Build software upgrades.
  • Coordinating with and supporting the Program Office on providing the fleet training plans for future Heavyweight Torpedoes.
  • Leading and coordinating the ADCAP Tactics Working Group (ATWG) and Fleet Integration Working Group (FIWG).
  • Supporting employment training for torpedo at-sea test events.
  • Acting as test director for at-sea test events aboard U.S. Navy vessels.

This position will be primarily in the Groton office 4-5 days a week and at NUWC Division Newport 1 day every 2 weeks. Telework would be ad hoc as most work and communications are at the classified level.

Job Requirements:

Education:Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline, Physics or Mathematics and a Master's level degree in Operations Research Experience:10 years professional experience in operations research

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in any of the following: Navy, NUWC, Weapons Systems, Torpedos
