POSITION SUMMARY

Do you have a passion for making connections and building bonds? Grinnell College is looking for you. The Associate Director of Alumni and Donor Relations will play a critical role in providing strategic leadership for alumni and donor programs, events, volunteers, and communications that support the College’s mission and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. One of the key responsibilities will be developing and managing the College’s regional engagement strategy for alumni and donors, in close collaboration with campus partners, development colleagues, and select alumni volunteer leaders.

This position is eligible to be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, build, and maintain professional and quality regional engagement programs with measurable objectives rooted in strategic business practices.

  • Coordinate the recruitment, training, evaluation, and stewardship of all regional community volunteers and provide logistical support to committees in their annual planning efforts.

  • Execute select branded regional programming (e.g. summer picnics program, winter parties) and other regional event programs as needed.

  • Lead the planning for a minimum of 70 regional events touching at least 35 regional markets annually.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

  • 5 years or more experience

  • Champion Diversity Equity and Inclusion

  • Adaptable to changing environments and situations.

  • Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Independent self-starter with developed problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with campus partners, alumni, and outside constituents

  • Planning and organizing skills; strong attention to detail.

  • Professionalism with multiple constituents

    Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Higher Education preferred.
