Job Summary:
Electric Power Division (EPD) has an opening for a Program Manager (Project Management) on our Large Electric Power team located in Griffin, GA. In this role, the Program Manager will manage a portfolio of high visibility programs and projects for key end customers and dealers and be responsible for end-to-end project planning and successful project execution.
What you will do:
Requires experience in Project Management tools and processes, and ability to: facilitate projects, lead critical meetings, develop / validate network diagrams, lead integration and compression sessions.
Overseeing project processes and procedures; monitoring the productivity and performance of the project team.
Managing all aspects of the project portfolio. Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of projects.
Reviewing and ensuring adherence to project materials, deliverables methodologies and procedures.
Preparing and presenting program level reporting for upper management.
Designing, establishing and monitoring the organization's project management goals.
Collaborating with internal and external team members, using a disciplined project management approach, and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities.
What you will have:
Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience desired
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Level Extensive Experience:
Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.
Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
Level Working Knowledge:
Makes progress in an atmosphere of ambiguity and uncertainty.

Utilizes preferred tools, techniques, and methods for estimating project cost and time.
Plans, estimates, staffs, organizes, and monitors significant projects.
Identifies risks and vulnerabilities; creates contingency plans.
Conducts regular and ad-hoc project reviews with project team, sponsors, and clients.
Maintains open communication among project participants and interested parties.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements. Competency in MS Project, POL, and/or Power BI reporting.
Level Working Knowledge:
Follows policies, practices, and standards for determining functional and informational requirements.
Confirms deliverables associated with requirements analysis.
Communicates with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.
Participates in the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements.
Additional Information:
This position will sit in Griffin, GA, in a hybrid flexible role.
This position may require up to 25% travel, primarily domestic.

Summary Pay Range:
$123,480.00 - $185,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
