Must have the ability to work any shifts and any days.

  • We operate 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.

  • This includes rotating shifts – day and evening

The main purpose and function of the electrician is to ensure the electrical equipment is maintained to the highest level to allow for maximum operation when needed.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Ensure plant electrical equipment is safe and compliant.

  • Verify plant and equipment are available for operation.

  • Ensure plant electrical equipment is thoroughly inspected before startup.

  • Fill in for other positions when needed.

  • Communicate with all employees about unsafe conditions and/or maintenance needed.

  • Repair all electrical equipment to last for the long haul.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.

  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Specification Q1, 9th Edition requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned as allowed by the CBA.

Requirements:

Education and training:

  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

  • Journeyman or master’s License required.

Experience:

  • Mechanical experience preferred.

  • 4 years of Electrical experience required.

  • Experience working in an API Specification Q1, 9th Edition environment a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and codes

  • Forklift operation

  • Ability to complete reports/records in a timely manner.

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.

  • Record keeping.

  • Communication skills, including peer to peer and employee to supervisor communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Ability to work from heights.

  • Subject to dust, noise, and temperature variations

  • Frequently work around machinery and mobile equipment.

  • Frequently work in inclement weather.

  • Frequent climbing of ladders and stairs.

  • Must meet deadlines.

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking 8-12 hours per day

  • Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally.

  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
