Job Description
SUMMARY
U.S. Bank has a great opportunity as we are adding a Business Operations Analyst to the Global Trade & Standby Services (GTSS) team! We are seeking an individual who has experience and understanding of accounting and reconciliations of transactions. In this role an individual is responsible for defining and performing accounting and systems analysis to improve workflow and operating efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all global trade finance & standby letters-of-credit (LC) transactions are accurately captured and accounted for in the financial systems.
Work closely with banks & internal departments to manage trade finance & standby LC facilities
Reconcile trade-finance and standby LC related entries between bank statements, internal records and trade finance systems.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in trade finance and standby LC transactions including payments, fees and interest accruals
Ensure outstanding LC, Trade loans and FX transactions are accurately reflected in financial & operational systems
Liaise with banks, internal departments to resolve reconciliation issues
Prepare reconciliation reports for Global Trade & Standby Services Finance and timely escalation of any unresolved issues and discrepancies.
Assist in the performance of periodic reviews to assess level of regulatory compliance and support audits, exams and reviews being conducted in GTSS
Collect and organize data to track, monitor and report on the effectiveness of key controls.
REQUIRED
Five or more years of related experience
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
PREFERRED
1-3 years of experience in regulatory compliance activities and/or quality assurance
Knowledge of trade finance operations, accounting, and reconciliation practices
Knowledge of government and industry regulatory laws and regulations
An understanding of Economic Sanctions Screening, AML & Antiboycott regulations
Strong understanding of project management and testing methodology and procedures
Ability to conduct an analysis of a business need, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas and conferring with business line leaders
Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong presentation skills, comfortable in raising an opposing perspective
Skilled in interacting with various business partners and levels of management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
Highly organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize work
This position offers a hybrid/flexible schedule which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $79,135.00 - $93,100.00 - $102,410.00
