Position Description: Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for an experienced CAD Designer to help support product design and development for our products! This position is based out of our plant in Grenada, Mississippi and reports to the Senior Designer in the plant.  This position operates under normal business hours and is onsite 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities: Provide 2D and 3D CAD modeling for engineered products. Use CAD technology to meet customer requirements most economically. Provide detailed drawing documentation and advanced level design support for unit creation and sub components. Create approval drawings, shop flor detailed drawings, bill of materials. Upload drawings to a PDM system and support the routing process. Communicate with customer engineer and design teams as needed, or Modine suppliers and other manufacturing locations.

Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience as a Designer or in a related design field. Prior experience with CAD technology such as SolidEdge or Solid Works. Experience in computer modeling and drawing documentation. An advanced understanding of 3D modeling and parametric design. Prior experience with sheet metal modeling and detailing. Ability to write CR, perform modifications, and knowledge of unit designs and refrigeration systems is preferred.

Education Requirements: An associate's degree in mechanical design or a related technical discipline is highly preferred.  Candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.

Travel: Travel is measured at less than 5% and is not considered a major component of this position.
