Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Greer, South Carolina

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in the greater Greenville, South Carolina area. In this role, your primary focus will be on managing our company's accounts, overseeing customer credit applications, and ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate. You will also play a crucial part in resolving customer inquiries and monitoring account activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and submit invoices in a timely manner to customers, using various billing systems and methods.

  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately, and timely and diligently follow-up on outstanding invoices.

  • Review the company's accounts and identify delinquencies.

  • Handle customer queries related to invoices and payments, resolving any discrepancies.

  • Organize and maintain up-to-date billing files to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Perform account reconciliations and generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage credit applications for new clients.

  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel and play a key role in quarterly and annual audits.

  • Recommend and establish new processes and policies to improve the accounts receivable process.

  • Support financial management in strategic planning and decision making.

    Requirements

  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing accounts receivable or similar duties.

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and financial data analysis.

  • Proficiency in database management and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently without neglecting accuracy.

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
