Description

We are currently seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to provide support to our finance department during a period of increased workload. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including reconciling bank records, drafting financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with budget preparation, and completing other tasks as required to support our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare basic financial statements and reports.

• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.

• Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing directly with employees and/or clients.

• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.

• Aid in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others to reach business goals.

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Proven experience as a staff accountant or similar role.

• Understanding of general ledger functions and financial month-end/year-end close processes.

• Competency in MS Office and accounting software packages.

• Strong attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.

• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
