Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our professional services team in Greenwood Village, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable, handling the administrative needs of the finance department, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the accounts payable finance department

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance with company policies

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal business partners

• Assist with both internal and external audits as required

• Distribute daily department mail and manage related tasks

• Log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other relevant documents

• Verify and mail checks, expediting special handling as needed

• Manage special projects as assigned

• Resolve accounts payable issues, process expense reports, and update sub-ledger to the general ledger

• Monitor and take appropriate action on customer accounts. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable or similar role is required

• Comprehensive knowledge of Auditing and Accounts Payable (AP) practices is mandatory

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is necessary

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Experience with accounting software and databases is preferred

• Must be able to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to Accounts Payable.
