Teijin Carbon America, Inc. Maintenance Manager in Greenwood, South Carolina

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for developing and leading safe and effective maintenance and reliability activities for Teijin Carbon Americas (TCA) facility in Greenwood, SC. This role will also be a contract administrator for third-party factory maintenance services. This position is a key member of the TCA leadership team and will report to the Plant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) requirements.
  • The primary person responsible for third-party factory maintenance service provider(s).
  • Serve as the Factory Maintenance Contractor Administrator and manage all external maintenance contractors.
  • Transfer knowledge from equipment suppliers into the TCA maintenance plans and systems.
  • Transfer technical knowledge from other Teijin sites to TCA to develop robust maintenance systems.
  • Support integration of maintenance resources with production to optimize resources.
  • Assure maximization of warranty agreements.
  • Support budget development, assure compliance with the department operating budget, and report variance to budget and corrective actions.
  • Lead maintenance activities for product changeovers and annual shutdowns. Partner with the production team.
  • Responsible for tracking and communicating site KPIs.
  • Coordinate with Central Utilities Plant (CUP) and Nitrogen supplier maintenance teams so work is seamless.
  • Responsible for carrying out and overseeing the implementation of small capital projects andcoordinatingwith Teijin corporate engineering and/or subcontracted engineering firms for project execution.
  • Responsible for calibration of measuring instruments in cooperation with external service providers and coordination with quality assurance.
  • Manage all regulatory maintenance requirements for the TCA site.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the organization as a member of the leadership team.
  • Willingness to travel Domestic and Internationally 5%-10%

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Maintenance leadership experience in a multi-shift manufacturing facility (10 years preferred).
  • Experience working with third-party contract facility maintenance partners.
  • Experience working with an international, culturally diverse team is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and control budgets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.
  • Proven experience leading Reliability and Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
