Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Manager in Greenwood, South Carolina. This role involves working closely with various teams such as Purchasing, Scheduling, and Sales to support inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. The role is positioned within a dynamic workplace that emphasizes collaboration and efficient use of inventory management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to maintain optimal inventory levels.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory capabilities.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure they meet production and sales needs.

  • Establish and maintain cost-effective stocking and reorder points for inventories.

  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and sales departments to forecast inventory needs.

  • Analyze production and shipping data to balance inventory levels and reduce waste.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory issues, including discrepancies, damages, and losses.

  • Support the Shipping & Warehouse departments to manage and organize warehouse layouts for efficient inventory checks.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve issues related to orders or deliveries.

  • Lead and assist in the purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring integrity and timeliness of the processes.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least two years of relevant experience. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of management and staff to ensure internal customer satisfaction.

  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to remain seated or stationary for at least 50% of the time.

  • This role also requires some standing, stooping, and bending to perform tasks related to inventory management and gathering information for customer inquiries and communications.
