Field Service Technician

Job Description

Travel to telecommunications shelters located near rural cell towers to provide basic building maintenance. Install and service HVAC equipment. Tasks include fixing doors/locks, sweeping, cleaning, and painting. You will be traveling to cell tower sites to service the precast concrete building that houses the tower controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic building maintenance at telecommunications shelters.

• Install and service HVAC equipment.

• Fix doors/locks, sweep, clean, and paint as needed.

• Travel to cell tower sites and service the precast concrete buildings.

• Load and transport equipment using an F250 and trailer from the Greenwood hub.

• Ride along and shadow a Lead Technician for training.

• Work up to 60 to 70 hours per week.

• Average weekly pay, while working, with OT is roughly $1500/week.

• HVAC knowledge

• Mechanical skills

• Troubleshooting abilities

• Installation and service expertise

• EPA certification

• Heavy lifting (up to 75lbs)

• Facility maintenance knowledge

• Valid driver's license

• Math and measuring skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 year of handyman or maintenance experience (apartments, hotels, commercial buildings, etc.).

• Previous work experience on AT&T/Verizon buildings.

Work Environment

The majority of the job will involve travel, with work conducted at various telecommunications buildings to ensure they are kept up to date. You will spend 2-3 weeks at a time on the road, working outside in potentially hot conditions. The dress code includes work boots and work slacks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
