Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in GREENWICH, Connecticut. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization, with responsibilities ranging from the production of financial reports to assisting in the audit process, tax entries, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including quarterly workpapers and footnote disclosures, for Real Estate Investment funds.

• Provide necessary information for the audit process to ensure transparency and compliance.

• Record tax entries for the funds and related corporate entities into the general ledger.

• Evaluate annual impairment calculations to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Review fund 1099s annually to ensure compliance with tax laws.

• Prepare tax returns for the General Partner for the funds to maintain accurate financial records.

• Respond to ad-hoc reports and investor requests, ensuring they are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, Auditing, Audit Workpapers, and GAAP Accounting to perform duties effectively. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated skills in Auditing

• Experience in compiling Audit Workpapers

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience in the Real Estate & Property industry is preferred.
