Job Description:

Successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to develop/deliver technical training for airborne and ground-based systems. This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments.

Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates. Develop/deliver training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements and vendor spec sheets. Create course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the systems, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting, trainer/simulator environment, or on aircraft.

Essential Functions:

  • Works under general supervision and may be responsible for entire programs.

  • Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are typically solved through advanced education or past experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics.

  • Some travel required

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher DOD Security Clearance

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • 6+ months experience in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

  • Training development and delivery in a technical environment

  • Knowledge and experience implementing training programs using an instructional design methodology.

  • Experience as an operator or maintainer on one or more military DV Airlift platforms.

  • Background in the following:

  • Executive Communication Systems

  • VIP Airlift Operations

  • Special Air Missions

  • Secure Communications

  • Radio Operations

  • Satellite Communications (SATCOM)

  • Voice and Data Transmission

  • Communication Security (COMSEC)

  • Frequency Management

  • Airborne Communications

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience as an operator or maintainer on one or more military platforms

  • Operational experience on VC-25, C-32, C-40, and/or C-37 aircraft

  • Formal U.S. military instructional experience desired (TRADOC, AETC)

  • Adobe FrameMaker

  • Adobe Captivate

  • Experience in the development of computer-based training

  • Active Secret or higher DOD Security Clearance
