Job Location: Greenville, Texas – (Responsibilities must be performed on-site.)

Job Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule – (Every other Friday is a non-workday.)

Job Description:

Systems Safety Engineers assure that systems provide acceptable levels of safety and that critical systems perform as needed even when components fail. Engineer will identify and manage risk in order to eliminate or reduce it to acceptable levels. Risk is the combination of the probability of a failure event and the severity resulting from the failure.

Essential Functions:

  • Must possess the ability to establish and execute a MIL-STD-882 safety program that concludes with a comprehensive safety assessment.

  • Must possess the ability to understand the concepts of preliminary and system hazard analysis, hazard logs, fault tree analyses, environmental assessment and management, risk assessments and mitigation and occupational health hazard assessments.

  • Ability to translate system requirements into functional requirements.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.

  • Able to work independently or in a team.

  • Available for minimal travel when required.

    Job Qualification Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Must have Systems Engineering Safety experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Aircraft platform experience

  • Pilot experience

  • Reliability and maintainability modeling skills

  • FMECA experience

  • Human Factors modeling and simulation experience.

  • Working knowledge of PTC WindChill (Relex)

  • Working knowledge of Airworthiness Certification
