Job Description:

The Associate, Business Analyst will join a dynamic, fast passed organization and provide financial support and management in a matrixed organization. This analyst will be responsible for forecasting, developing and maintaining metrics and charts, and providing explanations to deviation to forecast, which requires advanced excel skills.

The analyst will also work with business partners throughout the organization to drive financial results, as well as work with the leadership team to identify risks and opportunities to financial goals and plans.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze data, allocate costs, and prepare reports to provide detailed variance drivers.

  • Ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures.

  • Gather historical data on activities as material purchases, labor, repairs, assembly, operating expenses, etc.

  • Analyze bids for future efforts and update forecast to align with any revisions

  • Prepare reports that compare budgets with actuals. May prepare existing or projected CPI.

  • Compile and review budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimates to complete, and other data sources to control EAC’s and provide for proper financial management.

  • Prepare forecast, monitor performance, and measure actuals to plan.

  • EV based metrics at a program level.

  • Establish manpower meetings to forecast deliverables.

    Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.

  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires US citizenship.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Soft skills (I.E. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…)

  • Must have basic knowledge of Excel, Access, Microsoft Word applications.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Must be able to work independently for short durations.
