ITW Hartness is looking for a motivated individual to enter our technical scholar program with an interest in learning to work as a Maintenance Technician in our Operations team. At the successful competition of the program, you will be working with various equipment in the facility and doing preventive maintenance and repairs. You will have the ability to diagnose equipment problems and make repairs with parts and learn all concepts related to maintenance and safety.

  • You must be able to learn and understand mechanical skills, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

  • You must be able to learn how to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts.

  • You will learn to work with equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and preventive service.

  • Critical thinking skills to repair issues in an effective manner

  • Multitasking capability with ability to identify and execute priority tasks.

  • You will comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Education and Experiences:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at a partnered Technical College or High School with ITW Hartness.

  • Have and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.

  • High School Diploma or working towards completion of High School Diploma.

  • 1 year of mechanical education or related work experience.

  • Interest in developing a strong maintenance background.

    Physical Demands:

  • The ability to stand or walk for 8-10 hours a day

  • Capable of lifting 35 lbs.

  • Capable of bending, twisting, crouching, or kneeling
