Jacobs Senior Automation Engineer– Advanced Manufacturing (Hybrid) in Greenville, South Carolina

We're looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join our Advanced Manufacturing group, and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will contribute to proposal development and provide technical oversight to project teams.

Additionally, in this role you’ll:

• Develop proposals including scope of work and engineering estimates

• Provide technical oversight to project teams including:

o Adherence to client standards

o Quality checks

o Construction documentation

o Check out documentation

o Onsite planning

o PLC and HMI programming development and testing

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.

• Provide onsite commissioning support

• Travel 25% - 35%

• 15+ years of experience of controls development in the manufacturing industry

• 5+ years of experience leading projects

• Experience developing controls systems with Rockwell PLCs, servo drives/motors, variable frequency drives, remote I/O, and HMI.

• Experience developing software with Controllogix platform

• Experience developing software with Wonderware and FactoryTalk View ME and SE

• Knowledge of machine networking.

• Experience with supervisory control systems

• Experience with systems integration of packaging systems.

• Experience in the consumer products industry (specifically tissue, wipes, and non-wovens)

  • Onsite experience providing construction and commissioning support.
